About BBFC
The BBFC is a non-government community based organisation that provides services to families in the Ballina and Byron Shires. The BBFC is managed by a community based management committee and employs a full time manager, family and project workers and administration staff.
The BBFC receives funding from the Department of Community Services through the Community Services Grants Program (CSGP) and the Families NSW Initiative.
The BBFC is the auspice body for the:
- Ballina - Byron Family Support Service
- Early Years Program
- Ocean Shores Parent Resource Centre
- Ballina - Byron Volunteer Home Visiting Service
Families often experience difficulty in their lives and may find they need assistance to improve their parenting skills, their self esteem, improve their family relationships and reduce family violence.
Accessing the Services
Any family with dependant children living in either the Ballina or Byron Shires can access any program within the Family Centre:
- Any member of your family can contact us
- Another service can contact us on your behalf
- Self referral
